    All online permit purchases will include a $10 shipping and handling fee. The permits will be sent via United States Post Office Certified Mail and will require a signature.
    Permits may be purchased year round in person at: Blydenburgh, Cathedral Pines, Indian Island, Sears Bellows, Smith Point, West Hills, and the West Sayville Parks Operations Office. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing and delivery via USPS. For immediate purchase, please visit one of our park locations.

    Resident Green Key is required to receive the resident price on permit. Refunds will not be given for failure to purchase Green Key before purchasing outer beach permit.
      
    Annual permits are not sold until the current year. So, for example,
    2024 Annual Permits (including, Outer Beach Permits) do not go on sale until January 1, 2024.

Southaven Seasonal Freshwater Fishing

The Seasonal Suffolk County Fishing Permit provides access to fishing at Southaven Park for the current season. Freshwater fisherman are reminded that a New York State fishing license is required.

Freshwater fishing is available at Blydenburgh, Lake Ronkonkoma , Sears Bellows, Southaven (Suffolk County Fishing Permit Required), Millers Pond, and at Big Reed Pond at Montauk County Park. Suffolk County parks offer freshwater lake and pond fishing for pumpkinseed, largemouth bass, perch and bluegills. Bait permitted. New York State rules prevail. Fishing permitted between sunrise and sunset.

Night Fishing Permit

The Suffolk County Night Fishing Permit provides access for night fishing at Suffolk County Park Department fishing locations during the night hours (10PM to 6AM). Permits are valid at the following locations: Smith Point, Shinnecock East, Charles F. Altenkirch, Orient Point County Park, Cupsogue, Shinnecock Canal, Cordwood Landing, Lake Ronkonkoma, and Montauk County Park.

Night Fishing Permit must be displayed in the windshield of your vehicle in the parking lot. Fisherman must be actively fishing. Overnight stays are not permitted. This permit does not provide access to outer beach locations.
